Job Title: Lab Assistant

Department: Physics
Qualification:
- UG degree in Physics or related subjects
- PG degree in Physics or related subjects (Desirable)
Experience: 2 to 6 Years of Experience in the relevant field as Lab Assistant (Desirable)
Role Definition: Lab Assistant performs the role of custodian of the lab and that of a facilitator for conducting lab sessions.
Responsibilities and Authorities:
- Maintaining equipment
- Filing /Record Keeping
- Assisting students and lab In-charge in holding lab classes.
- Keeping track of equipment / Inventory.
- General up-keep of Lab.
- To see that the lab is clean and tidy
- To check the equipment before the commencement of the practical exams and keep everything ready for conducting the exams.
- Maintaining the students’ entry log book
- Maintaining the student.s complaint / suggestion register
- Lab equipment and consumable registers should be maintained
- During the lab hours – issue and receipt of components and equipment
- Listing and displaying the protocols to be followed in the lab.
- The systems and hardware list should be maintained
- Any other work assigned by the Head of the Department
