Organization Profile: The Central University of Odisha has been established by the Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009). It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of “equity and access” and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.

Qualifications and Experience required:
- Agriculture
1. B.Sc. Agriculture degree from a recognized Institute/University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
2. Master’s degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university in any discipline of Agriculture.
3. National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified [conducted by the CSIR or ICAR or UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET)] or candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 or 2022 and their amendments from time to time, as applicable, shall be exempted from NET.
Provided that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed/peer-reviewed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in National/International conferences/seminars/symposiums sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR/ICAR or any similar agency.
The fulfillment of conditions (a), (b), and (c) is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. - Zoology
- i. A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in M.Sc Zoology / Life Science (Zoology specialization) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or Ph.D. or a similar test like SLET/SET accredited by the UGC.
Provided the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bye-laws/ Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET. - i. A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a Physical Education subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or Ph.D or a similar test like SLET/SET accredited by the UGC.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree accordance with the University Grants Commission\ (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil. Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,2009 or 2016and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET.

iii. The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
- i. Master’s degree with55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned relevant allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Biodiversity & Conservation of Natural Resources
- M.Sc. in Biodiversity & Conservation of Natural Resources/ any branch of Life Sciences/Earth and Environmental Sciences with NET / Ph.D in the relevant discipline.
- Specialization in Remote Sensing and GIS/ Conservation & Wildlife Biology / Pollution & Ecotoxicology / Microbiology
Job Location: Koraput, Odisha
Pay Scale: Selected candidates shall be paid an honorarium of ₹ 1500/- per lecture subject to maximum of ₹ 50,000/- per month.
