Essential Qualifications:

• For Medical Candidates, a recognised medical qualification along with a postgraduate degree such as MD/MS is required, and for superspecialities a DM (Medical) or M.Ch (Surgical) is required.
• For Non-Medical Candidates, a postgraduate qualification such as a Master’s degree in the concerned discipline along with a Doctorate degree from a recognised University is required.
• For the post of Trauma and Emergency Medicine, Professor requires MD in Emergency Medicine/MD in Medicine/MS in General Surgery, and Assistant Professor requires MD in Emergency Medicine/MS in General Surgery or Trauma Surgery/MS in Orthopaedics/MD in Paediatrics.

Experience:

• Professor requires fourteen years of teaching or research experience after MD/MS, or twelve years after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5 year course), or eleven years for candidates holding a 3 year DM/M.Ch.
• Additional Professor requires ten years after MD/MS, or eight years after DM/M.Ch, or seven years for 3 year DM/M.Ch holders.
• Associate Professor requires six years after MD/MS, or four years after DM/M.Ch, or three years for 3 year DM/M.Ch holders.
• Assistant Professor requires three years after MD/MS, or one year after DM/M.Ch, with no experience required for candidates holding a 3 year DM/M.Ch degree.
• Non-Medical Candidates require experience ranging from three to fourteen years after obtaining the Doctorate degree, depending on the post applied for.

Age Limit: Professor and Additional Professor should not exceed 58 years, and Associate Professor and Assistant Professor should not exceed 50 years, as on the closing date of online application. Age relaxation of ten years applies for PwBD candidates, five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC candidates and five years for Government servants.

Salary Details:

• Professor will receive Level 14-A of the Pay Matrix with a minimum pay of Rs. 1,68,900.
• Additional Professor will receive Level 13-A2+ with a minimum pay of Rs. 1,48,200.
• Associate Professor will receive Level 13-A1+ with a minimum pay of Rs. 1,38,300.
• Assistant Professor will receive Level 12 with a minimum pay of Rs. 1,01,500, with provision to move to Level 13 after three years. NPA is additionally applicable for medically qualified candidates.
