Organization Profile: The University was formally inaugurated on March 20, 1965, by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Another significant milestone was the inauguration of the University’s building programme by Smt Indira Gandhi the then Hon’blePrime Minister of India on June 23. 1966. Subsequently, the University was renamed as Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) on November 7, 1996, in honour and memory of an outstanding Parliamentarian, Acharya N.G. Ranga who rendered remarkable self less service for the cause of the farmers and is regarded as an outstanding educationist, Kissan leader and freedom fighter.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Security / Information Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent (OR) Master degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Security / Information Sciences / MCA/ Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least two years of research experience
- Master degree holders should have completed 4 or 5 years Bachelor degree in relevant subject. Those with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree should have NET* qualification or equivalent certificate.
- One research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal

Consolidated Pay:
- Rs. 54,000/-+ HRA as admissible for Ph.D. Degree holders
- Rs. 49,000/-+ HRA as admissible for Post Graduate Degree holders
