Job Description/Responsibilities:
- The thrust areas of PSGIAS are Nanotechnology Applications in air, water, energy, smart textiles, tissue engineering, thin film devices and sensors. (For more details Visit: www.psgias.ac.in)
- The selected candidate as a member of faculty will carry out innovative research and actively support the business incubation activities at PSGIAS in the core research areas.
The faculty member should write grant proposals on his / her own or in collaboration with the faculty members of PSGIAS/PSG Institutions. This position is primarily focused on research. However, the faculty member will have to handle one course in a semester if the research load is low.
Qualification: Qualified from reputed institutions preferably from IIT/IISc.
- Position 1: MSc and Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Biomedical science/Molecular Biology
- Position 2: MSc. and Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Nanobiotechnology
- Position 3: MSc. Ph.D. in Physics (Materials, Process, and characterization)
- Position 4: MSc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry/Nanochemistry (chemical sensors, energy materials)
Required Skill Set:
- Position 1: Prior knowledge in mammalian cell culture, scaffold synthesis, experimental molecular or microbiological tools and techniques, preclinical evaluation of biomaterials. Candidates should have an interest in biomaterials and engineering, and preclinical research and its relevance for translation of research into clinical application.
- Position 2: Expertise in Integrated nano/biotechnology and microbiology application in environmental research like bio/nano-based remediation technologies, water purification, effluent treatment, Biological nanostructures and its application in environmental remediation, expertise in molecular biology
- Position 3: Expertise in Computational chemistry, with experience in Theoretical material design and modelling; Atomistic and DFT simulations and model development for sensors/energy systems.
- Position 4: Specialization in areas such as energy, optoelectronics, thin films, functional materials, device fabrication etc. Computational skills such as density functional theory, simulation of device
