Organization Profile: “75 years of Tradition of excellence in Engineering & Technology Education, Research and Innovations” Delhi College of Engineering, (initially established with the name – Delhi Polytechnic) came into existence in the year 1941 to cater to the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge. The institution was set up at the historic Kashmere Gate campus as a follow up of the Wood and Abott Committee of 1938. It comprised of a multi-disciplinary and multi-level institution offering wide-ranging programmes in engineering, technology, arts and sculpture, architecture, pharmacy and commerce. The national diploma awarded by the institution was recognized as equivalent to degree level for the purposes of employment. In 1952 the college was affiliated with the University of Delhi and started formal Degree level Programmes.

Qualifications:
- Junior Research Fellow: Candidates must satisfy any of the one condition(s):
- MTech/M.E. Degree in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. The candidate must have worked in the area of renewable energy and building energy management.
- Candidates who have cleared national level examinations conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, IISER.
- Candidates who have cleared Ph.D. entrance examination conducted by Delhi Technological University, Delhi.
- Desirable Qualifications/Experiences: Candidates who have qualified NET (CSIR/UGC JRF/NET(LS) / GATE / or any other equivalent examination scores will be preferred.
- Research Associate:
- Ph.D. in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. The candidate must have worked in the area of renewable energy and building energy management.
OR - 3 years of teaching, research and development experience in the relevant field after obtaining M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent degree in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with at least 01 research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
- Ph.D. in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. The candidate must have worked in the area of renewable energy and building energy management.
Project Duration: The post is vacant till March 2022 or till completion of the project.
Emoluments:
- Junior Research Fellow: The selected candidate will receive an amount of Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA per month as per SERB guidelines. It may be changed as per the SERB/DTU norms from time to time.
- Research Associate: The selected candidate will receive an amount of Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA per month as per SERB guidelines. It may be changed as per the SERB/DTU norms from time to time.
