Posts, Minimum Educational Qualifications, and Experience for Faculty Positions:
For Professors:
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 10 years in teaching/research/industry. Out of this at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
For Associate Professors:
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 6 years in teaching / research / industry. Out of this at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
For Assistant Professors:
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 3 years in teaching/research/industry. The teaching/research experience should be at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
For Assistant Professor (Contract):
Candidates with less then three years of post Ph.D. experience can apply for Assistant Professor (Contract). After obtaining 3 years of Post Ph.D. experience, their services can be regularized based on their satisfactory performance.
Note:
- The minimum education qualification for all the above posts is Ph.D. Under no circumstances Masters’s Degree holders without Ph.D. should apply.
- In addition to satisfying the minimum qualification, the candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, a commitment to imparting high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate education, and an inclination towards creative research. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for an interview. Institute reserves its right to shortlist the candidates based on the sub-specialization needed in a particular discipline.
