About the Programme:
The cornerstone of any education system is teachers and their quality of education. The Induction Programme for Faculty members in Engineering Institutions, and universities will familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted higher education teachers. It will orient them on various generic aspects of teaching-learning, instructional methodologies, assessment, and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching-learning, and equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration. The Induction programme for teachers shall nourish the new recruits in inculcating the highest standards of teaching and learning including the latest developments. The programme is carefully designed to provide insights on empowering young teachers with the required skills and competencies to teach digital natives.
The Group of Secretaries on Education and Social Development has recommended this Mandatory Induction Training for freshly inducted faculty members in Universities/ Institutes so as to improve the quality of education.
