About College: The National Institute of Technology Agartala, shortened to NIT Agartala or NITA, is a technology-oriented institute of higher education established by India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development in Agartala, India. It was founded as Tripura Engineering College in 1965 and declared a National Institute of Technology (NIT) in 2006. It is now the leading technical institute in the northeastern region of India after NIT Silchar and IIT Guwahati. It is considered a new institute in the family of NIT (2006–10 session) after NIT Jalandhar and NIT Hamirpur and is designated an Institute of National Importance by an act of parliament.[1] As with all other National Institutes of Technology, admission to NITA is granted through the centrally organised Joint Entrance Examination.NIT agartala is one of the fastest developing NIT.

- Professor (in service/retired): ₹40,000/- per credit course
- Associate Professor (in service/retired): ₹35,000/- per credit course
- Assistant Professor (in service/retired): 30,000/- per credit course
- Personnel not in regular service (State Govt./Central Govt.): 25,000/- per credit course

How to Apply:Â A walk-in interview for the engagement of two (02) Guest Faculty in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), NIT Agartala will be held on 08/09/2025 at 11:00 AM in the Registrar’s Conference Room (3rd floor, Admin Building). Interested candidates are requested to submit their CV along with academic details, including the Institutes/Universities attended and percentage of marks obtained, to the HOD, Department of ECE, NIT Agartala, via email at [email protected] and [email protected] by 05/09/2025. Candidates are required to report at the venue for the interview on 08/09/2025 at the scheduled time.
Candidates are required to bring their original certificates and documents, along with self-attested photocopies, on the day of the interview. They should also submit an application on plain paper and a detailed bio-data including a recent photograph.
