Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Qualification:
- Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering):Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level.
- Asst. Placement Consultant: Full time graduate in any discipline with 2 years experience in the relevant area. OR M.B.A (HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area.
- Instructor(Skill Development): Fulltime First Class B.E./B.Tech, in appropriate/relevant discipline with minimum 1 year experience OR First Class Full time Diploma in appropriate branch /DPT/DPMT/PGD-PPT,withminimum3years experience.
- Consultant Trainee(Mobilization): Full time Diploma (Mech/Prod/Industrial/Chemical/EEE)/DPT/DPMT/ PGD-PPT) OR
Full time B.Sc. in the relevant branch with first class
Remuneration range :
- Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering): Rs.30,000/- to Rs.35,000/-per Month
- Asst. Placement Consultant: Rs.35,000/- per month
- Instructor(Skill Development): Rs.25,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per month
- Consultant Trainee(Mobilization): Rs.20,000/-toRs.30,000/- per month
