Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Qualification:
- Lecturer (Plastics Engg & Technology / Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science): Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level.
- Lecturer (Mathematics / English / Chemistry): Full time First Class Master Degree in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s Level.
- Instructor (Skill Development): Full time First Class B.E / B.Tech in appropriate / relevant discipline with minimum 1 year experience. OR Full time First Class Diploma in appropriate branch DPT /DPMT/PGD-PPT with minimum 3 years experience.
- Consultant Trainee (Mobilization): Full time Diploma (Mech/Prod/Industrial/Chemical/EEE/DPT/DPMT/PGDPPT) OR Full time B.Sc in the relevant branch with First Class
- Assistant Placement Consultant: Full time graduate in any discipline with two years experience in the relevant area. OR MBA(HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area
Remuneration range :
- Lecturer : Rs.30,000/- to Rs.35,000/-per Month
- Instructor(Skill Development): Rs.25,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per month
- Consultant Trainee(Mobilization): Rs.20,000/-toRs.30,000/- per month
- Asst. Placement Consultant: Rs.35,000/- per month
