College Profile: The CK College of Engineering & Technology (CKCET), Cuddalore formerly known as Sri Jayaram Engineering College was established in the year 2002. CKCET is one of the premier engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu with international standards. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification from TUV NORD and is accredited with NAAC.
CKCET offers six UG degree programs and two PG degree programs. The college was earlier managed by Sri Jayaram Educational Trust, then it was patronized by CavinKare Group of Companies in 2010 with the aim of providing technical excellence to the rural minds.
CKCET is governed by visionary extraordinaire philanthropist Mr. C K Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director of CavinKare Group of Companies whose contribution to the society is outstanding. The college campus is spread over 17 acres of land with 245000 sq. ft. RCC building in the heart of Cuddalore town and is easily connected from Puducherry, Panruti, Villupuram, Chidambaram and Virudhachalam.
The college maintains staff-student ratio of 1:20 as per AICTE norms. Our faculty members are well-experienced and have taken part in various research activities. CKCET provides well equipped class rooms with LCD projector and computer system as a part of our e-learning activity and state of the art laboratories. Our library has a large collection of books to enrich the knowledge of students and faculty members.
CKCET has strong tie-ups with various industries. CKCET believes not only in educating students, but also grooming characters with moral and ethical values through Win@Life Program. The aim is to establish new trends, introduce innovative training methodologies like Industrial Practical Knowledge Training, Work Along Program and thus guide students towards the road to success. Our faculty members and students are trained in emerging areas like RPA, AWS, SalesForce and IoT. Students are much more oriented towards the latest technologies. Faculties are equipped to provide consultancy services to various industries.
The goal of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. But it is also important to remember that intelligence is not enough to lead a successful life. Therefore we inculcate life values along with knowledge in our students, helping them build strong character.
