Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier Academic institution for higher & technical education under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Testing and Quality Assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country to cater the needs of the Polymer and allied industries.

Essential Qualification:
- Assistant Professor (Chemistry)
(i) Full time Master’s Degree with good academic record with First Class or an equivalent CGPA in the relevant discipline from Indian Universities.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the qualification, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.
(iii) Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointments of Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges /Institutions - Assistant Professor (Mathematics)

Experience: At least 2 years post qualification experience in the relevant discipline. - Assistant Professor (Computer Science)
Full time First Class BE/B Tech and ME/ M.Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
Experience: At least 2 years post qualification experience in the relevant discipline - Assistant Placement Consultant
Full time graduate in any discipline with two years experience in the relevant area.

M.B.A.(HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area. - Instructor (Skill Development)
Full time First Class B.E./B.Tech, in appropriate/ relevant discipline with minimum 1 year experience
OR
First Class Full time Diploma in appropriate branch /DPT/DPMT/ PGD-PPT, with minimum 3 years experience - Consultant (Trainee Mobilization)
Minimum Qualifications:
Full time Diploma (Mech/Prod/ Industrial/Chemical/EEE)/ DPT/ DPMT/PGD-PPT.
OR
Full time B.Sc. in the relevant branch with First Class.
Remuneration range :
- Assistant Professor – Rs.35,000/- to Rs.40,000/-pm
- Assistant Placement Consultant- Rs.35,000/- pm
- Instructor (Skill Development)- Rs.25,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- pm
- Consultant (Trainee Mobilization)- Rs.20,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- pm
