Qualification:
Professor
1. A medical qualification included in the I or Il schedule or part Il of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in part Il of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:
Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Twelve years teaching and/or research experience in recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Or
Eleven years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized degree of D.M/M.Ch in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto
Associate Professor
1. A medical qualification included in the I or Il schedule or part Il of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part Il of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:
Six years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. /M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Or
Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized institution in the
subject of specialty for the candidate possessing 3 years recognized degree D.M./M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Assistant professor
l . A medical qualification included in the I or Il schedule or part Il of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956(persons possessing qualifications included in post Il of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)

Experience:
Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
One years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. /M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized degree in D.M./M.Ch or qualification recognized equivalent thereto,No experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M/ M.Ch or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Pay Scale:
- Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 14A (Basic 1,68,900-220400) as per 7th CPC and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
- Associate Professor:Entry Level Pay Matrix 13-A1+ (Basic 1,38,300- 209200) as per 7th CPC and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
- Assistant Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 12 Academic with 8000 GP (Basic 1,01,500- 167400) as per 7th CPC and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically
qualified candidates only) After three years, Assistant Professors will move
to level 13 (Basic 1,23,100) of the Pay Matrix.
