Essential Qualifications:
1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act, 1956 or by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for practice of medicine in India.
2. Qualifying degree: DM (recognized under the IMC Act, 1956 or by the NMC) OR qualifications recognized by the NMC as being equivalent thereto for employment as a Teacher in a Medical Institution. The qualifying degree must be in the subject of the post.
3. Experience: For candidates with 2 or 5 year course for the qualifying degree, one year teaching experience, after obtaining the qualifying degree is required. The experience must be obtained in a department recognized by the NMC for award of the qualifying degree or an experience recognized by the NMC as being equivalent thereto. No additional experience is required for those with a 3 or 6 year course for the qualifying degree
