(ii) D.M. in Gastroenterology (2, 3, 5, or 6-year recognized course after MBBS) or an equivalent recognized qualification. (iii) One year of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the specialty after obtaining a D.M. in Gastroenterology (2-year or 5-year course after MBBS). No experience is required for candidates holding a 3-year or 6-year D.M. degree.
Post 2 – Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology (i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Experience: Teaching and/or research experience must be acquired after obtaining the postgraduate/super-specialty qualification. Experience must be from an institution recognized by NMC/MCI/DCI or UGC, as applicable. All experience must be completed on or before the last date of online application submission (20.07.2026).
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 50 years for all posts. Age relaxation is available as follows — SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; PwBD: 5 years; Government Servant: 5 years; Ex-Servicemen: 5 years. Salary Details: Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,42,506/- per month for the post of Assistant Professor (Contractual).
Employment Type: Contractual — initially for a period of one year or till alternate arrangements are made, whichever is earlier. The contract may be extended for one more year based on the institute’s functional requirement with competent authority approval. The total contract period shall not exceed two years under any circumstances. Private practice is strictly prohibited during the contract period.
