Organization Profile: The University of Hyderabad is a public research university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Founded in 1974, this mostly residential campus has more than 5,000 students and 400 faculty, from several disciplines. The governor of the state of Telangana is ex-officio the chief rector of the university, while the President of India is the visitor to the university. The university was established along the lines of the Six-Point Formula of 1973. The first vice-chancellor of the university was Banaras Hindu University organic chemist Gurbaksh Singh, from 1974 to 1979. Shri B D Jatti was the first chancellor of the university. In January 2015, the University of Hyderabad received the Visitor’s Award for the Best Central University in India, awarded by the President of India.

Approaches to Editing:

  • MA in Journalism/Mass Communication with at least 55%
  • A relaxation of 5% is provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates
  • Superannuated teachers may also be considered subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
  • Specialisation: Print media, writing, editorial management
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in journalism/media industries in a role that involves editorial processing and decision-making. Superior English language skills and a demonstrable ability to work with a variety of media outputs in an editorial capacity.

Writing Across Media Platforms:

• MA in Journalism/Mass Communication with at least 55%
• A relaxation of 5% is provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates
• Superannuated teachers may also be considered subject to a maximum age limit

Specialisation: Writing, reporting, journalism
Experience: At least five years of experience in the media industry in a role
substantially involving writing and reporting, or creating content. Candidates are
required to submit evidence of published work or links to publications.
Desirable: Experience across media platforms (print, digital, audio-visual)

Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates who have kacheri (music concert vocal) experience and have more experience in Manodharma/Alapan/Alap Sangeet only

Salary: The honorarium will be Rs.1,500/ lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/ month
