Under his stewardship, S.N Trust functioned effectively and efficiently, main intention behind the formation of S.N Trust to manage the educational institutions under S.N.D.P Yogam. After the independence Sir C.P Ramaswami Iyer (Diwan of Travencore) invited Mannath Padmanabhan and R.Shankar and gave permission to start one collage each. R. Sankar started Sree Narayana Collage, Kollam in 1948 under the guidance of SNDP Yogam and Mannath Padmanabhan started Mahatma Gandhi Collage Thiruvananthapuram under Nair Service Society. After that many schools, collages, technical schools & hospitals started under S.N Trust.
