Organization Profile: The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare is an autonomous Institute funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The NIHFW is an apex Technical Institute for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programmes in the country through Education and Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory and Specialized Services.

Essential Qualification:

1. Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. MD (CHA) / MD (PSM) / MD (Community Medicine)/DNB (SPM) recognized by the NMC (erstwhile MCI).
3. A minimum of eight years’ of post PG teaching experience in a permitted/approved/recognized Medical College/ Institution as faculty including three years’ experience as Associate Professor in the subject.
4. Should have at least four Research Publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed, Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered.
5. Should have completed the Basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institution(s) designated by NMC (Erstwhile MCI).
6. Should have completed the Basic course in biomedical research from Institution(s) designated by NMC (Erstwhile MCI).

Pay Scale: 

• Professor- Rs. 1,44,200/- to Rs. 2,18,200/- + NPA
• Reader- Rs. 79,800/- – Rs. 2,11,500 /-
