Qualification:

Assistant Professor:

  • School of Habitat Studies: A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Environment Science, Climate Science, Sustainability Studies, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Studies with a specialisation in the field of Climate Science/Sustainability Studies/Energy resources and related field from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • School of Human Ecology : A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Psychology / Applied Psychology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
  • School of Rural Development: A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Entrepreneurship or Economics or MBA or PG Diploma in Management and Allied subjects from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in English from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. The candidate is expected to teach English language and literature to the students of social sciences at the undergraduate level. English language teaching includes teaching academic reading, writing and presentation skills Teaching literature should be primarily derived from various genres of writings within the context of India. The candidates should be able to use adequate pedagogical skills to teach language and literature in a way that should be in conversation with various social science disciplines. They should be able to use multiple sources of texts as part of their pedagogical skills

Desirable Qualifications:
•School of Habitat Studies: The candidate with PhD in Environment Science/Climate Science/ Sustainability Studies/ Environmental Engineering/ and Environmental Studies etc shall be given preference. Candidates with two years of teaching at the postgraduate level shall be preferred.

  • School of Human Ecology: M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from an RCI-recognized institution
     Ph.D in Psychology/Clinical Psychology or relevant field.
     Candidates with prior teaching and/or field practice experience of two years will be
    preferred.
     Research and published work in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of Psychology
