A dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our faculty as an Associate Professor in Big Data Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Big Data Analytics and related areas of AI and Machine Learning, contributing to curriculum development, conducting high-quality research, and engaging in service activities within the department and university community.

Associate Professor in Big Data Analytics
Departments: SCHOOL OF COMPUTING
Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with a focus on Big Data Analytics.
- Demonstrated expertise in Big Data Analytics, including proficiency in relevant tools and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark, Python, R, SQL, Tableau ).
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with a strong commitment to excellence in instruction and student learning outcomes.
- A record of scholarly research and publication in Big Data Analytics or related areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Experience:
- Five (5) to ten (10) years teaching experience.
- Strong record of Research and Publications (Mainly in Scopus, ABDC etc.)
- Teaching experience in the same field, designing class activities that induce participants to reflect upon and interpret their experiences in the light of theory, concepts and prior research. Practical exposure is a must.

Candidate Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Big Data Analytics, ensuring alignment with program educational objectives and learning outcomes.
- Engage students through innovative teaching methods, experiential learning opportunities, and real-world applications.
- Contribute to curriculum development, including designing new courses and updating existing ones to reflect advances in the field.
- Conduct high-quality research in Big Data Analytics, leading to scholarly publications and external funding opportunities.
- Mentor and advise students during the Master Thesis, providing academic and professional guidance to support their success.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities, including committee assignments, student advising, and outreach initiatives.
