Job Summary:
SIMATS Engineering is looking for a Drone Specialist with strong domain knowledge in UAV systems to support academic teaching, laboratory activities, student projects, and research in drone technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of UAV systems and drone technologies
- Hands-on experience in drone assembly, testing, and flight operations
- Experience with multirotor and/or fixed-wing drones
- Proficiency in flight controllers (Pixhawk, ArduPilot, PX4) and mission planning software
- Knowledge of UAV sensors, payload integration, and calibration
- Basic programming skills in Python / C / C++
- Understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight mechanics
- Awareness of DGCA regulations and UAV safety procedures
- Ability to support academic labs, workshops, and student projects
- DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate preferred
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace / Mechanical / ECE / EEE / Robotics or related fields
- Hands-on experience with drones and UAV systems
- Knowledge of flight controllers, mission planning, and sensors
- DGCA certification preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in UAV / drone systems
- Experience in academic labs, R&D centers, training institutes, or drone startups preferred
