Qualification:

1. Candidates should hold a PhD in the relevant subject and  have a minimum of 4–5 years of experience at the Associate Professor level in institutions such as IITs or other institutes of comparable standing. If the candidate is already a Professor, this criterion may be considered fulfilled.

2. A strong and consistent record of publications in reputed, peer-reviewed journals is essential.

3. Demonstrated success in securing extramural funding (national or international) is required.

4. Evidence of supervising at least 3 Ph.D. students is necessary.

5. Preferably, the candidate should have experience in developing new courses and academic programs within the department. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to develop and sustain a dynamic and innovative research programme. Qualified candidates must also exhibit a strong potential to attract external funding for their research and demonstrate excellence in teaching, advising, mentoring and supervising students at all levels. It is expected that the candidate will foster collaborations within the department and across schools in the university, and actively contribute to develop research in emerging and cutting-edge areas of applied and/or computational mathematics. Currently, we are welcoming applicants with expertise in Applied and Computational mathematics.
