Qualification:
- For General discipline/Broad specialty: A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of this schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act). A postgraduate qualification e.g., MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
- For Super-Specialty discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties and D.M. for Medical Super-specialties (3 years or 6 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- DNB qualification will be considered as per NMC guidelines. A DNB candidate must attach the Equivalency Certification issued by the National Board of Examination (NBE) along with the application form.
Pay Scale:
- Professor: Rs. 3,05,000/- per month (Consolidated pay)
- Associate Professor: Rs. 2,55,000/- per month (Consolidated pay)
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,95,000/- per month (Consolidated pay)
- Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS): Rs. 15,600-39,100 + GP Rs. 7,600 + NPA (Level-12 of 7th CPC)
