R.M.K. Engineering College, Kavaraipettai Wanted JRF and Lab Assistant

Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one position of Laboratory Assistant for the lab in a DST- Biomedical Device and Technology Development (BDTD) funded project entitled “Design of Affordable Accessible Low-Cost Fundus Camera for the people residing in Rural and Hilly Areas”, under the supervision of Dr. Sumitra (PI) Associate Professor/ECE, Dr. Latha (Co-PI)Associate Professor/ECE, The work will focus on developing a Low-Cost Fundus Camera.

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

Essential Qualification for JRF: M.E./M.Tech. in ECE/EEE/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with publication(s) will be with priority. Candidates are preferred with GATE/NET for category(i)Fellowship

Skill Sets: Knowledge on Developing Optical systems, Image Processing, Basics of Deep Learning, Exposure on handling Single Board Computers, FPGA, Programming Knowledge on Python, Matlab or C++ and Verilog

Fellowship:

(i)Rs. 31,000 + 9% HRA per Month for first 2 Years as JRF and Rs. 35,000 + 9% HRA per Month for 3rd Year
(ii)Rs.25,000+HRA for others who do not fall under category(i)

Duration: Until Sept 2023 with high chances for extension of 2 years and enroll PhD program under Anna University.

2. Laboratory Assistant:

Essential Qualification: B.Sc/Diploma in Engineering and Technology(3 years)

Skill Sets: Knowledge on Developing Optical systems, Embedded systems, exposure on handling Single Board Computers

Fellowship: 20,000 per month.

Duration: 3 years
