Qualification:
(i) MSc. [Physics, Materials Science, Electronics], B.E./B.Tech. [Electronics, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Mechanical], with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) and having a valid GATE/CSIR/UGC/NET score.
(or)
(ii) M.E./M.Tech [Electronics, Materials Science, Mechanical] with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and GATE qualified.
(iii) Expertise in the area of thin film preparation and characterisations are desirable.
Age should not exceed 28 years as on the last date of the application. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for Female/SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped Candidate.
Remuneration: Rs.31,000 (Rupees Thirty-One Thousand only) per month (consolidated) + 160% HRA (If Eligible)

Duration of Engagement: 1 year (on contract basis) and extendable based on the performance of the candidate and availability of the project fund

How to Apply:
1) Candidates have to send an application form in the prescribed format (annexed) as e-mail to [email protected] with subject “Application for JRF: SRG/2023/001476”. The self-attested copy of all the relevant certificates/ document proofs and a photograph scanned and merged as a single PDF file also has to be sent along with the application form. The interview will be conducted offline at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, time of which will be informed to the selected candidates through their e-mail.
The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents, and photographs submitted. No need to send the hard copy. However, candidates need to show the original documents at the time of interview/joining.
2) Applicants who are employed in Government or any other organizations are required to send a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer, if selected for the interview.

4) Eligible candidates may report on 16.04.2024 at 10.00 a.m. at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, NIT Calicut, NIT Campus (P.0), Calicut – 673601, for offline interview with originals of degree certificates & mark lists along with any other relevant documents (and one set of Xerox). The final selection will be based on interview performance. The candidate is expected to join immediately, if selected. No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
