NIA was established in 1980 jointly by the Ministry of Finance – Government of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, General Insurance Corporation of India, The New India Assurance Company, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company and The Oriental Insurance Company on 16th December 1980 in Mumbai to be the institute of excellence in learning and research in Insurance, Pension and allied areas. The Academy was shifted to Pune on 4th June 1990 with state-of-the-art facilities for learning and research.

Job Position:

• Faculty Member- General Insurance

Employment Type: Contract

Minimum qualifications: 

• Graduate / post-graduate in any general stream, Management, Engineering, Law, Agriculture, Horticulture.
• Associate / Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India or equivalent.

Candidate Profile:

• The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
• The candidate should have excellent communication
• Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
• The candidate should have good research record

Job Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Pay Scale: A consolidated salary of Rs.1,50,000/- plus Rs.30,000/- towards house rent. Accommodation may be provided at NIA Campus subject to availability and policy provisions; in such case Rs.30,000/- towards house rent will not be paid.
