Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. The College has subsequently been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development.

Job Title: Research Associate

Project Title: The nonlinear evolution equations for particulate models: Wellposedness, Asymptotic analysis and Numerical simulations

Department: Mathematics

Essential Qualification: 

• PhD in Mathematics or PhD Thesis submitted in Mathematics
  Desirable expertise: Applicant must have strong knowledge EITHER in the
  i) theoretical studies of PDEs, OR
  ii) computing techniques for solving PDEs using Matlab, Mathematica. (Applicants specialized in Monte-Carlo techniques, PINN, ML etc. are preferable), OR
  iii) Both mentioned above.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be capable of doing independent research work and have published at least 2 research papers in peer reviewed SCI/SCIE journals. At the time of application, applicant’s age should be below 35 years.

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale:

• 58,000 + 16 % HRA per month

Duration: Initially for 12 months (extendable upto a maximum of 36 months
(including initial 12 months)) or till the duration of the project completion whichever is earlier
