Organization Profile: The Malad Kandivli Education Society (MKES), a visionary Society was established before independence with the sole objective of imparting education to the masses, especially to the youth of the linguistic minority community. MKES was a realization of the dream of a few leaders of the then thinly populated suburbs of Malad and Kandivli to create a facility for imparting quality education to the students which was absent at that time. Late Shri Kantilal Nahalchand generously donated 9000 sq. yards of plot and an amount of Rs.1.11 lacs as donation towards the construction of a school building. This motivated the community to contribute handsome amounts to realise the dream of their leaders and thus, in 1942, the Sheth N.L. High School was established with two mediums of instruction – Gujarati and Hindi.
