Organization Profile: Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, was founded with the noble vision to raise professionals and leaders of high academic calibre and unblemished character, nurtured with a strong motivation and commitment to serve humanity. The institution is the fulfillment of the vision of its founders Late Dr. D. G. S. Dhinakaran and the present Chancellor Dr. Paul Dhinakaran. Established in 1986 as an Engineering College, it was granted an autonomous status in 1999 and declared Deemed-to-be University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in recognition of its academic excellence by the Ministry of Human Resources Development under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide notification no 9-3-2000-U3 dated 23.6.2004 of the Government of India. Accredited by NAAC, the institution offers a wide array of Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degree programmes in various branches of Engineering, Biotechnology, Food processing and Agricultural Sciences. From a humble beginning of 180 students, the institution has rapidly grown to 8491 students and 452 faculty representing 18 academic departments.

- A Ph.D. in Digital Marketing, preferably with a specialization in areas such as digital media strategy, analytics, SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media marketing, or e-commerce. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience working in the media department of academic institutions or the industry, with a proven track record in teaching, research, leading or participating in media-related academic/industry projects, media management and digital outreach initiatives.
- Director- Security and Intelligence
- Retired IPS Officers with a strong track record in security leadership – including Retired Police Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and Assistant DSP – who can lead comprehensive security operations across the campus and its extended properties. The Director – Security and Intelligence will be responsible for securing the institution land, protecting students, staff, and infrastructure, establishing and overseeing robust security protocols, and ensuring a sate, substance-free academic environment in line with Government norms. The role includes surveillance against encroachment, public nuisance, and cyber threats, and supporting law and order during major campus events. The Director will also play a key academic support role by delivering expert lectures to students of Forensic Science, IT, and Business on topics such as cybercrime, intelligence operations, investigations, and security systems.
