Organization Profile: Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment (DMSRDE) originated in 1929 as the Inspectorate of General Store in the Harness & Saddlery Factory, Cawnpore. DMSRDE in its present form was established in 1976 as part of DRDO by the merger of three establishments erstwhile Defence Research Laboratory (Materials); Textiles and Stores Research & Development Establishment; and Defence Institute of Stores Preservation and Packaging.

Qualification:
- Chemistry/ Material Science/ Polymer Science: Post Graduate degree in relevant discipline (Basic Sciences) in first division with NET qualification.
- Chemical Engineering or Technology/ Material Science & Engineering/ Polymer Engineering or Technology: Graduate Degree in professional course (B.E/B.Tech) in relevant discipline in first division with NET/ GATE.
OR
Postgraduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech) in relevant discipline in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Job Location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- p.m (1st & 2nd Year)
Contingency grant up to a maximum of Rs. 15,000/- per annum shall be paid to Research Fellows on reimbursement basis for the first two years. The contingency grant may be increased to Rs. 20,000/- for the subsequent years. They shall also be eligible for HRA as per Government rules.
