Organization Profile: Indian Institute of Technology Patna is one of the new IITs established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 06, 2008. Patna which was known as Patliputra has been a center of knowledge since a long has been attracting visitors and scholars from many parts of the world such as China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Sri Lanka, among others. This has been a land of visionaries. Some of the legends from this region include Lord Gautam Buddha, Lord Mahavir, Guru Gobind Singh, the famous astronomer Aryabhatta, and the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
Qualification:
B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent with the minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60Yo marks with valid GATE score.
or
M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent with the minimum CPI of 6.5 or 600/o of marks with valid/invalid GATE score.
Degree Requirements:
The candidate essentially should have B.Tech/ B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering/ Technology, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, Energy Science/Engineering, or any related field. GATE, NET qualification in related discipline is MUST Preference will be given to the candidates having prior experience in “theoretical/experimental/computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer and basic knowledge of CFI) tools such as Ansys/Comsol/OpenFoam”.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 28 years (B.Tech/ B.E) or 32 years (M.Tech/M.E). Relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD candidates is applicable as per the GOI rules.
Key Responsibilities:
Research work: Conduct literature review. problem formulation, modelling and simulation, and data analysis. set up the experimental facilities. Project Assistance: Assist the PI in project planning, design, and execution. Data interpretation: Analyze research data and interpret the results to draw meaningful conclusions.
Report writing: Prepare progress reports, writing research articles and proposals, and power-point presentations to communicate findings and progress,
Collaboration: Cordially work with PhD students and other members of the Lab, collaborate with other researchers and team members to share knowledge and insights. Compliance: Ensure that research work is conducted in adherence to ethical guidelines and research protocols. Professional Development: Attencl seminars/conferences/workshops to enhance knowledge and research skills.
Duration of the post: Initially 01 year, may be extended up to maximum of 03 years upon satisfactory performance (Note: The selected candidate may get opportunity for Ph.D. admission at IIT Patna)
Pay Scale: Rs. 37,000/- pm (in first two years) and Rs. 42.0001- pm (in third year) + HRA (as applicable)
