Organization Profile: The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon’ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.

Job Title: Research Associate

Project Title: Reconfigurable and Scalable Photonic Qubit Architecture for Quantum Computing Heterogeneous and Monolithic Approaches (RASPAC)(QRA_SKV)

Department having vacancy:  Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering

Qualification:  

PhD awarded/completed in the area of Photonic Technologies/Electronics/Electrical/Nano Science and Nano Technology/Physics with a focus on optics & photonics domain, Salary will be based on the post-PhD experience, Fresh PhD: 58000 per month Post-PhD experience of 1 year: 61000 per month Post-PhD experience of 2 years: 67000 per month OR M.Tech in ECE/EE/CS/Photonics/Engineering Physics/Nanoscience/Quantum/ having 6 Years of research, teaching and design and development experience with at least one research paper in the Science Citation Indexed journal.

Relevant Experience: Candidate should have worked in the area of nonlinear photonics/quantum photonics

Tenure: 48 Months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
