Essential Qualifications: Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech in ECE or allied branches with a minimum of 60% marks (or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale), along with a valid GATE/UGC-NET JRF/CSIR NET JRF or equivalent examination qualification and a minimum of two years of relevant VLSI industry or research experience. Alternatively, candidates with an M.E./M.Tech in ECE or allied branches with a minimum of 60% marks (or a minimum CGPA of 6.5) along with a valid GATE/UGC-NET JRF/CSIR NET JRF qualification are also eligible.
Desirable: Candidates with knowledge of basic semiconductors, solid-state devices, MOS Device Physics and Modelling, CMOS-based circuit design, and Memory Design will be preferred. Familiarity with EDA/TCAD tools, Cadence tools, TCAD device/process simulation, mixed-mode simulation, and Hardware Descriptive Language such as Verilog or Verilog-A will be an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant VLSI industry or research experience is required for candidates applying with a B.E./B.Tech qualification.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years on the last date of submission of the application. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or those with relevant experience.
Emoluments per month: Rs. 37,000 plus 18% HRA per month for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET JRF or GATE, or through a selection process conducted via National Level Examinations by Central Government Departments and their agencies.
