Indian Institute of Information Technology Sri City, Chittoor known as IIIT Sri City (IIITS) was established in 2013 by Ministry of Education, Government of India as an Institute of National importance by an Act of Parliament. IIITS is one among the 20 Institutes across India, focusing on Information Technology education, research and development. IIITS offers BTech in three programs (1) Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), (2) Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE); and (3) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) also offers PhD programs. IIITS is looking for qualified candidates to be appointed as Lecturers (On Contract). Candidates with exceptional teaching credentials are welcome to join the team of faculty members. Lecturers (On contract) shall handle lectures, tutorial classes etc.
Lecturers (On Contract) positions are available in the following group:
Mathematics: Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Real and Complex Analysis, etc.
Minimum Eligibility:
Qualification & Experience
Master’s Degree (Ph.D. Preferred) in Mathematics from a CFTI or an equally reputed national or overseas university along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience in CFTI/Institution of National Importance or equally reputed institution. Teaching experience from the technical institution is preferred.
Lecturers (On Contract) positions are available in the following Group:
English: Language and Communication Skills (Written and Oral)
Minimum Eligibility:
Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. (English) with 1-year experience/M.Phil (English) with 2 years of experience /Master’s (English) with 3 years of experience with good academic record from a CFTI or an equally reputed national or overseas university along with relevant teaching experience indicated above in CFTI/Institution of National Importance or equally reputed institution. Teaching experience from technical institution is preferred.
- Excellent language and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and help students who come from rural background.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and good interpersonal relationship skills
Salary & Benefits:
- The Competent Authority of IIIT Sri City Chittoor may decide suitable norms for shortlisting of candidates.
- The salary shall be in the range of Rs. 50,000-70,000 (Consolidated), as per the recommendations of the selection committee. Lecturers (On Contract) are not eligible for
any other benefits.
Term of Appointment:
- The initial appointment will be period of one academic year with possibility of further extensions.
- However, the term of contract may be ended by either side with a notice period of 3 months or end of the semester, whichever is later
