V. V. S. Murthi, former Member of Parliament and popular philanthropist.

Qualification: Ph. D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
Job Description:
- Continually endeavor to improve the operating effectiveness of the institute for which he is responsible.
- Keep informed of current practices and techniques relating to university programs, teaching and administration by attending meetings and professional development conferences, and reading professional materials.
- Co-ordinate and foster the development of programs within the departments to best meet the needs and interests of the students. This includes the establishment, supervision, and evaluation of special education programs where a student needs one.
- Assist the teaching staff in the development, implementation, modifications, and selection of curriculum materials, and keep the concerned heads informed as to any modifications in or substitution of approved courses.
- Develop and support a high degree of student morale through curricular and extracurricular activities and services and co-ordinate the participation of all members of the teaching staff in the extracurricular program.
- Monitoring the auditing and inspections of the institution conducted by the regulator bodies such as AICTE, government, and university apart from the ones conducted by the top management.
- Enabling future preparedness in emerging domains of science and technology
- Providing an enabling ecosystem for technology led innovations and techno-entrepreneurship
- Fostering effective public-private linkages for driving research and innovation
- Developing innovation clusters with multiple stakeholders including academia, industry, and government.
- Skilling in current and futuristic technologies.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching /research/industry out of which at least 5 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
- At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of Journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as supervisor. Co-supervisor till the date of eligibility for promotion.
