Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification:
Lecturer (Plastics Engineering. & Technology)/Lecturer (Mechanical / Production Engineering)/Lecturer (Computer Science)
- Full time Bachelor’s degree with first class or equivalent in Engineering /Technology in the relevant discipline.
- If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology, First class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Experience:
At least 1 year teaching experience in Polytechnic / Engg. College.
Preference shall be given to M.E / M. Tech. holder with First Class.
OR
Full time Bachelor’s degree with first class or equivalent in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline.
If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering /Technology, First class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s level; and
Ph.D. in the relevant Discipline.
Lecturer (Physics, English, Mathematics & Chemistry)
- Minimum Qualifications:
Full time first class Master’s degree in relevant discipline with first class or equivalent at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s level - Experience:
At least 1 year teaching experience in Polytechnic / Engg. College.
Preference shall be given to Master’s Degree holder with First Class.
Assistant Placement Consultant
- Minimum Qualifications:
Full time graduate in any discipline with 2 year experience in relevant are. OR
M.B.A. (HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area
Remuneration range :
- Lecturer (Plastics Engineering. & Technology): Rs.30,000 /- to Rs.35,000 /- p.m.
- Lecturer (Mechanical / Production Engineering): Rs.30,000 /- to Rs.35,000 /- p.m.
- Lecturer (Computer Science): Rs. 0,000 /- to Rs.35,000 /- p.m.
- Lecturer (Physics, English, Mathematics & Chemistry): Rs.30,000 /- to Rs.35,000 /- p.m.
- Assistant Placement Consultant: Rs.35,000/- p.m. (Consolidated Pay)
