Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier Academic institution for higher & technical education under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Testing and Quality Assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country to cater the needs of the Polymer and allied industries.

Qualification and Experience:
- Assistant Professor (Plastics Engineering/ Mechanical Engg.):
Engineering/Technology:
Full-time First Class BE/B Tech and ME/M Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
Experience:
2 years post-qualification experience in the relevant discipline.
Desirable:
PhD in relevant discipline. - Instructor (Skill Development):
Full-time First Class B.E./B.Tech, in appropriate/ relevant discipline with minimum 1 year experience
OR
First Class Full-time Diploma in appropriate branch /DPT/DPMT/ PGD-PPT, with minimum 3 years experience.
Tenure: Maximum Term of Engagement on contract – 1 Year (Renewable up to 3 years based on performance and requirement
Candidate Profile:
- Should have good oral and written communication skills
- Competency in Hands-on experience in handling students and academic-related activity
Job Location: Mysuru, Karnataka
Pay Matrix:
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 35,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- per month
- Instructor: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- per month
