Required Educational Qualifications for Professor: Candidates should have either of the following
Option A
- PhD degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline, with published work of high quality and active research engagement
- Minimum 10 research publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals, and a total academic/research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations, 2018
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a university or college as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level, with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates
Option B
- PhD degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline from an academic institution or industry, with significant contribution to the discipline supported by documents
- Ten years of experience
Required Educational Qualifications for Associate Professor: Candidates should have
- PhD degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline, with a good academic record
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (grade B on the UGC seven point scale)
- Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in a position equivalent to Assistant Professor, with at least 7 publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total score of 75 as per UGC Regulations, 2018
- A relaxation from 55% to 50% marks is allowed for PhD holders who obtained their Master’s degree before 19 September 1991
