Qualification :
i Professor
Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant field. A minimum of ten research papers, in / FT 50 / ABDC A*, A or B (or equivalent as per MDI Policy) journals out of which at least 3 should be in last 5 years. Minimum 10 years’ experience in teaching / research / industry of which at least 3 years shall be as Associate Professor level.
ii Associate Professor
Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant field*. A minimum of six research papers in FT 50 / ABDC A*, A or B journals (or equivalent as per MDI Policy), out of which at least 3 should be in last 5 years. Minimum 8 years’ experience in teaching / research / industry, out of which at least 3 years should be post – Ph.D. experience at Assistant Professor level.
iii Assistant Professor (Senior Grade II) – Level – 12
Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant field *. A minimum of two research papers in FT 50 / ABDC A*, A or B (or equivalent as per MDI Policy) journals. Minimum 4 years’ experience in teaching / research / industry– post Ph.D.
iv Assistant Professor (Senior Grade I) – Level – 11
Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant field *. A minimum of two research papers in FT 50 / ABDC A*, A or B (or equivalent as per MDI Policy) journals. Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching / research / industry– post Ph.D.
v Assistant Professor – Level – 10
Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant field *. A minimum of two research papers in FT 50 / ABDC A*, A or B journals (or equivalent as per MDI Policy). Fresh PhD candidates will also be eligible for the Assistant Professor before award of PhD degree. They may be evaluated/considered for the position with the explicit understanding that any offer that is made is on the understanding that they will complete the Ph.D. before they can join.
