Qualifications:
- The qualification of the Librarian shall be such as prescribed by the University Grants Commission (updated guideline).
- The Librarian shall be appointed by the Executive council on the recommendation of the Selection committee and he shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University.
- The emoluments of the Librarian shall be such as approved by the Government from time to time.
- The Librarian shall exercise such power and perform such function and duties as may be assigned to him by the Executive council or by the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.
- Age of superannuation 62 years.
