Research Position: Full-Time Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence
Title of the project: Ph.D. research in Artificial Intelligence;

Essential Qualifications: M.Tech./M.E. in CSE/ECE/Equivalent; M.Sc. in CS/IT/AI/DS/Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/Equivalent with Mathematics/Statistics/CS at UG level; MCA with BCA/Mathematics/Statistics/CS in UG level; or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in CSE/ECE/Equivalent with at least 80% aggregate (or equivalent grade).
Desirable Qualifications / Foundational Aspects: Deep Learning; AI Reasoning & Planning (Causal AI, Agentic AI, Trustworthy AI, Explainable AI); Computer Vision; Language Technologies (Generative AI, NLP); Hardware-aware AI.
Applied Research Aspects: Smart Agriculture (precision farming & yield optimisation); Smart Healthcare (diagnostics & patient care); Smart Energy (grid optimisation & renewables); Smart Finance (risk modelling & fraud detection); Cybersecurity (threat detection & secure AI systems); Robotics (autonomous systems & HRI).
Project Duration: Full time PhD
Research Fellowship & Benefits: ₹36,000 per month for the first two years; ₹41,000 per month from the third year; 100% tuition fee waiver. NET/JRF/SRF holders receive Government-approved monthly fellowship plus ₹18,000 per month additional allowance. Additional benefits include PDG support for conferences, workshops, seminars & travel; subsidised boarding, lodging & transport; and support for journal publications & patent filing.

First-level screening will be based on an online written examination, followed by an interview for selected candidates.
