Essential Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field, UGC-NET
Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field (required), UGC NET.
- Demonstrable experience in visual media, with a preference for candidates with experience in news channels.
- Strong research background with publications in recognized journals will be desirable.
- Previous teaching experience at the university level is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Orientation towards Indian cultural values
Job Description:
- We seek an accomplished and dynamic individual with a strong background in journalism and communication.
- Candidate should have expertise in Visual Media and Communication.

- It is desirable to have experience working with news channels.
- Applicant should possess UGC-NET, Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field, and aspiration to continue active research, with a flair to do practical outreach work as well.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Journalism, Communication, and Visual Media.
- Develop and lead research initiatives in the areas of Journalism, Visual Media, and related fields.
- Mentor students and guide them in academic and professional development, as well as in outreach activities.
- Contribute to the department’s efforts in curriculum development and innovation.
- Collaborate with faculty and engage in service activities that promote the department and university’s mission.
- Support and coordinate the research activities in the department.
