Required Educational Qualifications for Assistant Professor (Grade-I and Grade-II): Candidates should have
- Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline
- First class in the preceding degrees, where minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA is treated as first class if the institution does not specify
- Specialization as per the departments’ preferred areas, such as Cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Wireless Communication, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Mathematics and Statistics
- Grade-I only: minimum 20 cumulative credit points as per the credit point system
- Post-doctoral experience is an added advantage
- Industry professionals with substantial R&D experience and good publications or patents can also apply
Age Limit: Fresh appointment beyond 60 years is discouraged, except for faculty with an exceptionally brilliant research career and approved funded projects. Age is counted as on the last date of the advertisement, with relaxation as per Government of India norms.
Required Experience: Grade-I needs 3 years of experience after Ph.D., or 6 years of total teaching and research experience in a reputed academic institute, R&D lab or relevant industry. No experience is required for Grade-II.
