- Teaching faculty: 1 year at the outset, extendable by a further two years based on satisfactory annual performance, subject to a maximum tenure of 3 years or 70 years of age or joining of a regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
- Senior Resident: 1 year at the outset, extendable up to 3 years based on requirement and satisfactory annual performance, or until joining of a regular incumbent (SR), whichever is earlier. The contract also ends on attaining 50 years of age.

Required Educational Qualifications for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident:

- Selected candidates must submit the updated Medical Registration Certificate before joining
Age Limit: As on 26 October 2026, not exceeding 67 years for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, and not exceeding 45 years for Senior Resident, with age relaxation as per prevailing norms of the Government of India. The maximum tenure of engagement for teaching faculty is up to 70 years of age.

Allowances are as per ESIC Headquarters Office Memorandum No. Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022, or any subsequent orders. Non-medical officers, if selected, are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA). Selected candidates cannot claim PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority or Promotion. Hostel accommodation/quarters will be provided to the extent possible but cannot be claimed as a right, and no HRA is payable if it is availed.
A security deposit of Rs. 20,000 for each post must be submitted by Demand Draft payable to “ESI Fund A/c No. 1” at Surat upon joining. It is refunded after successful completion of the contract and submission of a “No Dues Certificate”. It is forfeited if the candidate resigns within six months of joining, except in unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.
