Essential Qualifications: For posts under Horticulture, Post Harvest Technology, Agriculture, and Biotechnology colleges, candidates need a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/relevant discipline along with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed, NAAS rated or UGC-listed journals and a total API score of 120, or an outstanding professional background from industry. For posts under Technology and Sugarcane Science colleges, candidates need a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field with First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level, along with at least 6 research publications at Associate Professor level in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved journals and successful Ph.D. guidance experience, or at least 10 research publications at that level.

Desirable: For Professor (Sugar Engineering) and Professor (Sugar Technology) posts, working experience in the sugar industry is desirable.

Experience: Candidates applying for Horticulture, Food Processing, Agriculture, and Biotechnology posts need a minimum of ten years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or equivalent research experience. Candidates applying for Technology and Sugarcane Science posts need a minimum of ten years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least three years shall be at a post equivalent to Associate Professor.
