Essential Qualifications: Candidates must hold a recognised basic veterinary qualification included in the schedules I/II of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. For Professor posts, candidates need a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed, NAAS rated or UGC-listed journals and a total API score of 120, or an outstanding professional background from industry with significant contribution to the discipline. For Associate Professor posts, candidates need a good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline along with a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.

Experience: Professor posts require a minimum of ten years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor or equivalent research experience at university/national level institutions. Associate Professor posts require a minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience equivalent to that of Assistant Professor, along with a minimum of seven publications and a total research score of seventy-five.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit prescribed for the posts of Associate Professor and Professor under this recruitment.

Salary Details: Professor – Academic Level 14 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/- per month. Associate Professor – Academic Level 13A with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- per month. All other allowances will be admissible as per applicable government orders.
