The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya aims to promote the rural talents by inculcating the 21st century learning skills through a holistic and integral approach for their physical and aesthetic development, apart from academic fineness. Essential Qualification:

PGTs:

• Two years integrated post graduate course with atleast 50% mark in aggregate. (45% for SC/ST/PH candidate) in any of the following subjects.
  OR
  Master degree from recognized university with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.(45% for SC/ST/PH candidate) in any of the following subjects.
  AND
• Bachelor degree in education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized university.

TGTs:

• Four years integrated Degree course in the concerned subject from any institution recognized by NCTE with atleast 50% mark in aggregate. (45% for SC/ST/PH candidate).
  OR
  Bachelor degree in Arts/ Science in the concerned subject with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidate) along with degree in bachelor in Education / 3 years integrated B.A B.Ed (a course prescribed by NCTE) with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidate) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized university.
• Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.

Monthly Honorarium:

• PGT(All Subjects): Rs. 25,000 (Normal)/ Rs. 30,000 (Hard Station)
• TGT(All Subjects): Rs. 20,000 (Normal) / Rs. 25,000 (Hard Station)
