Organization Profile National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Deemed University), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone for this institute on October 10, 1959, the first in the chain of 30 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country. The Institute is well known for its dedicated faculty, staff and the state-of-the art infrastructure conducive to a healthy academic environment. The Institute offers eight undergraduate programmes (B.Tech.,) in engineering, Twenty nine post graduate programmes (M.Tech., M.Sc., MCA and MBA) in engineering, sciences and management and research programmes in engineering, sciences, humanities, physical education and management.

Research Position: Junior Research Fellow

Title of the project: Design and development of lightweight, cost-effective and energy-aware Fog-based crop yield recommendation, disease diagnosis and management system using Artificial Intelligence techniques for rural India

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Prime Minister Early Career research grant (PMECRG) program

Essential Qualifications: 

• M.E/M.Tech/B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning/ Computer Science and Engineering (IoT)/ Computer Science and Engineering (Networks)/Computer Science & Information Security (First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale and for Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with at least CGPA of 7.5 on a 10-point scale or 70% of marks)
• Preference will be given to the candidate qualified in GATE.
• Age limit: Below 30 years; however, upper age is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/women and physically handicapped candidates

Project Duration: 2.5 years

Stipend:

Candidate who are selected through National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET or GATE)
• 37,000+HRA (1st and 2nd Year)
• 42,000+HRA (3rd Year, upon successful assessment and upgradation to SRF)
Candidate without National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET or GATE)
• 30,000+HRA (1st and 2nd Year)
• 33,000+HRA (3rd Year, upon successful assessment and upgradation to SRF)
