Organization Profile: The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon’ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellowship – Research

Project Title: Development of high-power Grid-friendly Conductive and Static Wireless
Chargers for Electric Vehicles (Project Code – R/PSV)

Department having vacancy: Electrical Engineering

Qualification:  

  • B.Tech. (or equivalent) with valid GATE (or equivalent) score, OR M.Tech. (or equivalent) with GATE (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • All through 60% (or CGPA 6.5) and above from Matriculation onward. Selected through a process described through any one of the following:
    a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC, NET, Including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
    b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc. IISER, NISER
    etc.

Pay Scale:  Upto 37000 (depending on qualification and experience)
